Remo Muff’l Control Ring Drum Dampening System

The Remo Muff’l® Control Ring provides controlled dampening for tom, snare, and bass drums by reducing unwanted overtones while preserving the natural tone of the drum. Designed to mount directly under the drumhead, the Muff’l Control Ring helps achieve a more focused and controlled sound without permanently modifying the drum.

Each system features foam rings mounted in specially designed plastic trays that sit on top of the bearing edge under the drumhead. A triple-notched mounting system secures the pads in place without adhesives, ensuring reliable positioning even on bass drums with low tension.

The Muff’l Control Ring is commonly used to achieve tighter, more controlled drum tones and is also useful for low-volume practice and studio applications where additional dampening is desired.
